Freesat for Expats in The Netherlands and Belgium

If you want to receive UK TV but don’t want the monthly subscription costs, Freesat is the one for you. You only pay a one-off fee for the digibox and installation. There is no subscription or management fee thereafter.

Freesat vs Sky

The main advantage of Freesat over Sky is that there are no monthly subscription fees. You pay a one-off fee for the equipment (Freesat box, satellite dish and cabling) and installation.

Although Sky has many more channels available, Freesat are adding new channels all the time. There are currently 158 or so Freesat channels, including 40 radio channels. You can see all the Freesat channels listed here.

Freesat HD channels are included. There are only five right now but that could change rapidly as Freesat looks for ways to improve and expand its services. Who knows, you might even be able to add Pay TV channels like Sky Sports and Sky Movies in the future.

How do I get Freesat abroad?

Because there are no ongoing subscription costs, you can be viewing Freesat in a short space of time. Call us to let us know what Freesat box you would like and to arrange a time and date that suits you so that  we can come and install everything. It can take a couple of hours to install the kit and then you should be up and running.
